MALIVANI IV

I want a ride home
I was now two weeks old in the school and the matron could no longer wash my clothes. Not because i learnt how to do my laundry but because I had two std.8 girls fighting for me. He he i just wanted to say that...cause it feels nice. Right?

Ndunge got me from my first morning in the school as she argued out and now Esther, argued herself out that she's from the coast. I couldn't choose. They were all nice. I was just there like a little princess. Did i forget to say shaven? Yes shaven. Bald. Everyone was. You should see my ears when bald. Satellite.

thanks to Ndunge I had a nice stay

Okay. I always had clean clothes. My suitcase well arranged. Never bullied. Was i a pet? I don't know.
But one thing i never got used to in this school is the FOOD and my home sick got stronger each day.
"Mimi sili sima ya kuungua. Sinywi uji. Sili pojo. Sili hiki, sili kile..."
It was my daily song. It's funny how i turned down greengrams as it was actually my favourite back home.
They called greengrams NDENGU. Learn reader. Learn.

The matron noted my faded appetite. My soap dish protruded like they were really soap dishes. I mean my color bones.
To the deputy headmaster and he entitled me to special diet.
Interesting.

So, whenever people were having porridge, which was twice in the morning hours btw, i was enjoying my TEA. (Hot water mixed with sugar and drinking chocolate)
The only thing I'd enjoy eating with the rest was the githeri i dispised on my interview day, muthokoi (my favourite), rice - cooked on Saturdays, meat a big piece each and you got lucky if you got a boned one.
Plus there was something when cooked looked like rice mara ugali...they called it NZENGA. This, I hated with passion.
don't feed me that please

CURE TO MY SMALL POX

I was nauseous and tingly all over. I was either in love or I had small pox. My second semester in campus and it is all the time I needed to know the class genius or as you may please chopii, the party animals,  the know-it all, back-benchers, class representatives, mean lecturers, dean of students (this one I knew since my day one, keep your dean of students close cause you never know...you might graduate with first class honors without knowing it haha!) , entertainment arena, the lecture halls, master the timetable, master my students' registration number and master the art of smiling. - Yes, smiling. I believe smiling can get you anything. So I get to interact with some students and filtered out some to form a study group to help with the assignments and discuss on "tough" units. Here, they have CCTV cameras in the examination halls. Okay, not functioning ones. But wait, why incur such an expense in installation? So Yes, very much functioning ones. But ...

HABA NA HABA

come lets put a smile on a childs face 13 counties are affected by poor long rains in Kenya today. More than 10,000 livestock have died in a span of 3 months in Ganze, kilifi county following a prolonged drought. Residents are forced to trek a distance of over 30km to reach Renji dam, which is now the only remaining source of water but also believed to be drying up quickly. Some residents claim that this situation has forced their children to drop out of school as they do not have money to cater schools due to the death of their livestock which is their their only revenue. KUTOA NI MOYO A survey by KNA in kaloleni, ganze and kilifi north earlier this year established a total crop failure as all maize planted during the months of April and may dried up immaturely. The kilifi county executive member in charge for agriculture, livestock development and fisheries,  said the county is likely to face a severe shortage of food especially in semi-arid parts of Ga...

IF WOMEN CAN'T, MEN SHOULDN'T EITHER.

People say adoption beats abortion. Well...what about the large number of children waiting to be adopted? And the ones who do not get adopted? Also, many people do not understand the psychological effects of not having that nurturing parent around. It truly messes kids up for life. What a sad life to live in an orphanage with no family or parents! If they make abortions illegal, they should make it illegal for men to desert women after getting them pregnant. If women cannot back out of pregnancies, men should not be able to either. On this fine day,I was running errands with my grandma and discreetly purchased a pregnancy test and ran to the washroom to take it. Immediately, it showed a positive result. I continued to walk around the store with her, tears streaming down my face, telling her that something in the store must have activated my allergies. Normally, I stay quiet, but not silent. I consider myself to be pretty responsible, maybe impulsive at times. My boyfrie...
