" Every time I get my period, it is just like a green light saying - you're not pregnant, carry on girl!" LOL
So, the last time I updated, it was on the abortion issue and that if women cannot back out of pregnancies then men shouldn't be able to either. I got quite some reactions. Personally.
Well, if you haven't had a read yet, you can peek so we could be on the same page here.
Sexually transmitted infections are on the rise among all age groups, as is the abortion rate. But wait, today, in my country, or is it just in the circle of people I happen to know? Well, the number of single parents, more so mothers, has risen. Or do I say trending! It is a lifestyle now.
It is as if there is something compulsive about playing the lottery of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection.
I wonder whether unprotected sex is one of the ways in which young people unconsciously explore their anxieties.
Young people aren't stupid. Okay, they get drunk, ridiculously drunk, and drunk people make mistakes. Now, this is where i admit that alcohol is one major influence on unprotected sex then followed by my main, IGNORANCE. Or does ignorance come first? I tend to think so, because it is Ignorance that leads to silly drinking. Other reasons for unprotected sex can be: Condom tear ( CHEAP/EXPIRED CONDOMS) or Unpreparedness before sexual intercourse.
It is most certain that at one point in your many sexual encounters, you felt ashamed to ask someone to put on a condom, kind of like you are being a bore.
So, there is this " pull - out" thingy that most of us rely on as the only method of contraception, it is fallible and messy. Some adapt this saying the side effects of the PILL are too much for them to bear.
IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE A BABY AND IF YOU ARE NOT SURE THAT YOUR SEXUAL PARTNER IS STI-FREE, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE PROTECTION.
Engaging in an unprotected sex is 90% driven by ignorance. Alcohol does not make one go outa thinking, and if so, then why think unprecedented sex? Or why can't one forget the zip point and rather remember to go for a glass of milk?
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly my point! Thank you.
